Stargate VII - Basil Indigo Project

Hello everyone!  

Here is a piece that I worked on for my graduate portfolio that actually came before Stargate IV.

This was the first piece that I was genuinely proud of because of the amount work that I put into it.  This was the catalyst for my new work ethic and therefore I have this piece to thank for the quality of the rest of my grad portfolio.

The story behind this is inspired by the show Ancient Aliens.  (If you have not seen this, please do!  It's amazingly interesting and very thought-provoking.  I honestly would never have thought in a million years that I would find myself thinking that any of these alien conspiracy shows were great, but here I am).  The show talks about a theory that aliens came to Earth in search of gold to repair their deteriorating atmosphere on their home planet.  This is a sort of abstract view of their hunt, with gold foiled shapes hidden throughout the piece.

Well, I have a lot of posts and projects planned for the upcoming month since I am stuck in the house practicing social distancing, so stay tuned!
