Birds of Paradise

Hi, Everyone!

Welcome to my very first OFFICIAL art blog!

Here is a piece I worked on sometime back in 2016.  I love these flowers and I really wanted to try capturing the beautiful colors and gradients that I see in them.  I used Daniel Smith Watercolors, which were a fairly new product in the store that I work at in Hawaii (Ben Franklin Crafts).  

They are so pigmented and the colors are so beautiful!  If I could afford it, I would buy all of the colors.  I hope you like this! I am very proud, as this is my first botanical illustration that came out great!
